You can bring your own ISO image and create droplets from it.

As for the hardware, you can not directly tailor the server specifications to your exact requirements. If you do not find suitable server specs, you can reach out to our support team and raise your query there.

With DigitalOcean Droplets, you cannot bring your own physical server. You choose from the supported OS images, or upload a custom image that meets their requirements:
Also with all Droplets you do have root access, so you can install any software that you need to.
